She and her husband (quiet as a church mouse, made a point of not looking at me) were talking about the devil worship going on at the elementary school down the street. She railed about how all the ghosts and goblins and candy corn were making baby Jesus cry. She was trying to get the school to change over to a harvest festival instead. <br /><br />I told her I agreed with her, which probably curdled her mocha frappuccino. Yes, I said, all those ghosts and superheroes and such take away from the original Pagan holiday - Samhain. Samhain (pronounced Sow-en) is the last and biggest harvest festival of the Pagan calendar.
