The US president thanked Australian premier John Howard for visiting 'Austrian troops' in Iraq.
An honest mistake given that Austria is the birthplace of both Bush's and Howard's idol, nicht wahr? (heels click)
Talking at a business forum on the eve of an Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in Sydney, Mr Bush also told Mr Howard: "Mr Prime Minister, thank you for your introduction. Thank you for being such a fine host for the OPEC summit."
And this was with a script! They never let him speak off the cuff. Surely the neocons could have found a son of a bitch for their puppet mouthpiece that could at least talk. Maybe they could have found one that could read too. Or maybe they couldn't. Perhaps Bush was the only idiot they could find who was dumb enough to go along with their imperialistic warmongering bullshit and a closet fascist to boot. He does OK at that.
I used to feel embarrassed as an American when Bush would commit verbal and social gaffes. Not any more. He doesn't speak for me, let him fuck up however he wants to and show himself for the stupe he is. It's not like we didn't know.
