Ew ... Ick ... Ugh ...

Rick Santorum can't be President. I'd never eat again:

A Pizza Ranch manager in Boone, Iowa, has renamed the restaurant’s chicken salad “Santorum Salad,” after Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum.

  1. He should have renamed it to "Chicken Sanatorium", because we all know how BAT$HIT crazy the GOP Clown College is!

  2. Dave, "tossed salad" has a different connotation when talking about frothy. First time I heard of *chicken* tossed salad though. (And for the record... EWWWwwwww!).

  3. You know, the whole 'frothy mixture' meme wouldn't have stuck if he wasn't such an asshole.

  4. Well, not to mention that he's sorta creepy. I'd no more leave him alone with my boy-child than I'd leave a Catholic priest alone with said boy-child, you know just looking at the dood that he wouldn't be able to keep his hands off your kid, in a manly discipline sorta way ya know. Why else do you think the tighty righties are so into corporal punishment of little children? It's, like, how they get off, man.

  5. One wonders how the Santorum Salad is described on the menu - "A delightful frothy mixture of chicken and house-made spooge!"?

  6. Guaranteed they paid him to do it. This is pure campaign stunt stuff. Gets a little good publicity and seems all down to earth and shit. It's bogus, though. Do you really think some pizza shop is gonna name a pie after a bottom of the list political candidate for no reason except, "Oh, why think he's groovy!"?

My Stink-o-meter red-lined the second I read it.

  7. Well of *course* this is paid campaign stunt stuff. The question is, *whose* campaign? ;).

  8. One more thing, and Duh Fixuh can truly appreciate this: the pizza in the Midwest is the worst in the country. I lived on the East Coast and have been on the Left Coast may times. I've eaten pizza in the North (all kinds of places, but mainly Jersey and New York, including the ORIGINAL Original Ray's in the 1970s when there weren't so many Original Ray's), South (Alabama, Virginia, Florida, Louisiana, and Florida), West (California...and California...oh, and Vegas, of course), and so on. Minnesota has one place that almost makes a pizza right, and nowhere in the Midwest do they come closer...and that includes YOU, Chicago. Deep dish sucks and you can bite my ass if you don't like hearing the truth. My point? If it's in Iowa and calls itself "Pizza Ranch", the pizza sucks and you can't get a calzone worth even mentioning. Most of these pizza joints out here have never heard of a calzone and thing there are two items on a pizza restaurant's menu: pizza and a meatball sub.

  9. Uhm, you forgot the spaghetti with meat sauce that's also on pizza restaurant's menus out there. The meat sauce being made with low-grade hamburger meat and tomato sauce, and tasting pretty much like Midwesterner's idea of chili -- i.e., bland and pretty much flavorless.

BTW, best pizza in Louisiana: Deano's in Lafayette, LA. Look it up ;).
