Dred Scott 2010

SCOTUS just gave away such democracy as we still have. Maybe we should just make it official and change the name from "The United States Of America" to "Corporate America" and get it over with.

The way I see it, this decision is built on two terribly flawed previous SCOTUS decisions:

1. Corporations have the same rights as individuals.
2. Money is free speech.

I'm not a lawyer, never played one on TV, never even stayed at a Holiday Inn Express, but those both seem like utter bullshit on the face of them. Both are absolutely unfair to individual people and tilt toward the money, as if there were a dearth of it in politics.
