I could not have hoped for a better picture of McCain, with his head framed by 'Rescue' and 'Danger'. Note the 'down' arrow indicating that Hell might be better than a McBush presidency. It's an omen, I tell you!
Excellent piece by Robert Scheer.
There you have it encapsulated, the McCain campaign for president, an irrational mélange of patriotic swagger and blindness to reality that is proving disturbingly successful with uninformed voters. How else to explain the many millions of Americans who tell pollsters they prefer a continuation of Republican rule when so many of them are losing their homes to foreclosure and the nation is devastated by out-of-control military spending?
I can explain it: They're insane. Doing the same thing over and over expecting different results is almost a dictionary definition of 'insanity'. Ask any recovered drunk. Since I'm the one that's handy, I'll tell ya - if ya don't change, yer gonna get in trouble (probably already are), get sick, go broke, and die.
One more Repug administration and we'll be pattin' this country on the face with a spade. And the ones who caused it by thinking the Repug disease couldn't possibly have caused it will blame it on everybody but themselves.
