"Patriotic Americans" ...

ATLANTA - Four suspected members of a fringe north Georgia militia group were arrested Tuesday by federal authorities and charged with plotting to buy explosives and trying to make a deadly toxin in a bizarre plot to attack unnamed government officials.

Hey, they're old, white, and Christian. They gotta be patriots, right?

...

"I've been to war, and I've taken life before, and I can do it again," [one of the supects] told an undercover investigator, according to the records.

Thomas' wife, Charlotte, called the charges "baloney."

"He spent 30 years in the U.S. Navy. He would not do anything against his country," she said in a phone interview with The Associated Press.

The minute you plan to kill innocent people, be they Americans or anyone else, you are a terrorist, period.

Great thanks to our pal Pam Spaulding on the Facebook.

OT, but jeezus, this is Serpico all over again -- unless it never really went away (more likely).

If it wasn't for 'undercover informants' instigating this shit the FBI'd never catch anybody. Get a buncha old fools to start talking sedition and then bust 'em when they start looking stuff up they're never going to do anyway.

I can't remember where I saw it but from what I understand, these guys ain't like the "Muslim terrorists" the FBI usually sets up ... er, "catches". These clowns have the skills to pull it off.

Found it:

"Adams, for instance, is a retired fed. He worked as a lab technician for the Department of Agriculture. That's the sort of job that allows one to pick up a skill set that could be used for nefarious purposes. Same with Crump -- he was a contractor who did maintenance for the CDC. Thomas was an aerospace engineer who boasts of holding security clearances for "fifty years," so presumably he worked for a defense contractor. Roberts was the only one who seems like a goofball, and that's because he's a confederate troublemaker who had a long history of challenging government officials over the Confederate battle flag and various "Southern Heritage" nonsense that glorifies treason that he was involved with."

I thought that's what the US Govt does all the time. keep reading how they kill, & kill all around the world. Almost anyone they disagree with. Yes it's always given a 'real' justification. but it's killing none the less.
