It's crippling our business!

Not so much:

...

Over a four years period from 2008 to 2011, Corning Inc. was one of 26 companies that managed to avoid paying any American income taxes, even though it earned nearly $3 billion during that time. In fact, according to Citizens For Tax Justice (CTJ), the company received a $4 million refund from 2008 to 2010. That didn’t stop Susan Ford, a senior executive at the company, from telling the House Ways and Means Committee this week that America’s high corporate tax rate was putting her company at a disadvantage: [all ems in orig]

...

It's all about the greed, nothing more. "More for us and fuck the rest of you" is the 1%ers' motto.

But, these are the evil tax dodgers Sean Hannity, Orrin Hatch and every Right-Winger is denouncing as 'Did you know 47% (or 51%) of Americans don't pay taxes!'

Oh wait...

When I can buy Corning for $5 in Peru and it sells for over $15 in the US, you might want to take a real close look at the protective tariffs on their products.

If they want to be competitive with the rest of the world, then they need to push strongly for universal health care. Once the employers no longer have that ~1/3 of labor costs over their heads, once they will no longer lose good employees to companies with a better healthcare plan, they will probably find it quite easy to be cost competitive with most of the developed world.
