Daily Dave

CQ Politics:

...

[Dave] Mejias' longshot bid is drawing increasing local and national attention: The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has listed the contest among its "emerging races," which party officials use to highlight contests they believe are becoming increasingly competitive.

He has a significant though not huge campaign treasury for a first-time House contender. And - perhaps most crucial to his hopes for cutting into King's apparent strong lead - he potentially could get help from the top of the party's ticket, with Democratic Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton and the gubernatorial nominee, state Attorney General Eliot Spitzer, both prohibitive favorites to win their November contests.

...

Hil and Spitzer better cough up some scratch. King is the last Rethug holding national office on Long Island. Let's get his nasty ass out.

Update:

Peter King Watch has an interview with Imam Dr. Farouque Khan of the Long Island Islamic Center. It's enlightening how King's views have changed in this 'post 9/11 world'.
