Being we spend so much ...

On our defense budget, you would think we can afford not to buy shit:

Well, it turns out these ships are rusting faster than a '70s Datsun in New England.

Why spend money once when you can spend it 2 to 4 times and still get a very limited life out of it?

Having spent a good deal of time chipping and painting said ships, I can only just stare blankly into space in utter amazement and revulsion.

As a wise man (Al Pacino) once said "I'm too old, I'm too tired and I'm too fuckin' blind. If I were the man I was five years ago, I'd take a flame-thrower to this place!"

Now there's a movie to watch today!

Having served on those "Old Ladies" for over 25 years, and having used chipping hammers, scrapers, wire brushes and red lead, zinc chromate, haze grey, deck grey, and of course clipper blue (that pea green shit) that the insides used to be painted with, I am probably the certified expert on haze grey and underway craft...

Anyone with a lick of common sense knows that dis-similar metals act like a battery in electrolite. Again who are these fools that manage to sell the US Congress on ships that can melt at the pier? I realize that you have become a nation of dummies, but isn't it time you took your country back...

And Yes you may call me by my first name
Chief also I say your country as I have taken another nationality with a government that treats me as an adult not a serf.
