This is a band out of Portland fronted by Utah Phillips' son Brendan. I heard this tune today on KVMR.

For any young'uns that might blunder onto this page, "fast rattler" is depression-era slang for a freight train. Woody Guthrie used the term in "Hard Travelin' ".
