You get your panties in a bunch about all the money we borrow from China, give a look over this graph showing who owns our debt and how much, and how deeply each of the last few presidents got us into it.
That's $4.2 trillion owed to foreign countries, more than the $3.6 trillion owed to the US public. As my late father, an economist, pointed out to me, debt repayments to foreign countries take that money out of the US; debt repayments to the US public at least keep the money circulating within our economy.
And someone should rub that chart with Bush's $6.1 trillion worth of debt in the GOP candidates' faces.
