ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Florida's lieutenant governor resigned and nearly 60 other people were charged in a scandal involving a purported veterans charity that authorities said Wednesday was a front for a $300 million gambling operation.Go read the rest of this. Using Veterans to scam folks out of their hard-earned money chaps my ass. I hope the bitch gets twenty years. Everybody else too.
The organization, Allied Veterans of the World, runs nearly 50 Internet parlors with computerized slot machine-style games, which have come under scrutiny in Florida but are in a gray legal area.
Even so, investigators said the charity was a fraud and executives gave precious little to veterans while lavishing millions on themselves, spending it on boats, beachfront condos and Maseratis, Ferraris and Porsches.

Remember that Florida governor Rick Scott is one of our only governors who defrauded the U.S. government out of over half a billion dollars. So when Lt. Governor Jennifer Carroll was interviewed by the FBI, she decided to go see the governor to plead her case. Surely the governor would be sympathetic, considering that he, too, had encountered the fist of the Feds.
Uhm, not so much. He refused to see her. Some things -- like defrauding veterans -- are so wrong that even scam artists won't go along with them.

He knew he was guilty and so was she, and he didn't want to be on the wrong side of it. I don't think the actual fraud bothers that scumbag even a little bit.
20 years of hard labor.
There, I fixed it for ya.
Personally, I would ad that they be woken up every morning, stood against a wall and receive a swift kick in the crotch so that they have something to look forward to.
