President Bush commuted the sentence of former White House aide I. Lewis "Scooter' Libby on Monday, sparing him from a 2½-year prison term that Bush said was excessive.
The felony conviction and the $250K fine stand, as if that matters to a rich politically-connected man. He hasn't pardoned him YET.
This shows that committing a crime in the service of the King is OK, and if you're stupid enough to get caught, your loyalty means you at least won't have to go to prison.
