You'd better hope not ...

Whatever happened to "fightin' them over there ...*"?

A secret U.S. law enforcement report, prepared for the Department of Homeland Security, warns that al Qaeda is planning a terror "spectacular" this summer, according to a senior official with access to the document.

So what about all the freedoms we've given up? What about all the hoops we have to jump through just to board an aircraft? What about all the NYPD Hercules Teams who seem to come out of the woodwork every time someone jaywalks? What happened to "keepin' us safer"? What happened to "Osama will get us if we don't vote Republican"? Hmmmm?

It seems to me, we're no better off than we were on 10 September 2001.

"This is reminiscent of the warnings and intelligence we were getting in the summer of 2001," the official told ABCNews.com.

U.S. officials have kept the information secret, and Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff said today on ABC News' "This Week with George Stephanopoulos" that the United States did not have "have any specific credible evidence that there's an attack focused on the United States at this point."

So, Mr. Bush. Just say this happens. Who in Hell are you going to blame for it? Clinton? The Democrats? The gays? The blacks? The Hispanics? All of the American people? I just have one question for the White House.

After wasting so many of our young lives and so much of our money in Iraq, after putting the people of Lower Manhattan at such risk after 9/11, after completely screwing the American people in the name of 'The War on Terror', who do you think the American people are going to blame if a major terror attack comes to pass? I have a funny feeling they're gonna be looking at you.

Off to work to make more money for the government to waste ...
