The first time ...

I heard somebody ask this question.

... That raises the question of just exactly what the Bush administration did the past seven years to put a system in place to stop these explosives from coming on planes ...


The most recent figure I've heard is we've spent $42 bln on aircraft security since 11 September 2001. At this point, a mosquito shouldn't make it onto a plane undetected, let alone some nut with a bomb.

The upside is, for the Christmas season, the guy's nuts were roasted so, thankfully, he won't be able to breed if he ever gets out of jail alive.
