WASHINGTON - JULY 25 - – Today, by a vote of 399-24, the House passed legislation introduced by Congresswoman Barbara Lee (D-Oakland) (Yay East Bay! - G) to prevent permanent military bases in Iraq and bar U.S. control over Iraqi oil resources.

Of course, even if the bill is passed, the Chimp will either veto it or add his usual signing statement: "This is fine for my subjects, but I'll do it if I want to. Fuck Congress and the law."
